Will Mr. Manmohan Singh please explain how to make India slum free? People in search of jobs are migrating from villages to metros. The problem of slum areas wouldn't be solved until we strengthen the rural economy which is not possible under the policies being pursued by the UPA government.

Why the Congress leadership is fooling the people? On the one hand the great economist Mr Singh is busy in making pro rich policies to further widen the gap between rich and poor and on the other hand government is announcing such schemes. Giving homes to these poor people is not the permanent solution of the problem. We need to create more job avenues for these people to improve their living conditions.

It is true that giving homes to these people is not the permanent solution but it will help these people to some extent. By implementing the reforms in India our respected PM is establishing the industries to provide jobs to the people. The boom in the service sector where lacs of people are employed now, is just because of foreign investment.

I don’t say its not possible to make India a slum free nation or eradication poverty is an impossible thing. But what I challenge PM Manmohan Singh is that please first show your track record. I challenge that he has no knowledge of how many slums are there in India.
He has to now start to survey for that I suppose. The next point is how to implement the slum eradication program. He didn’t clean the streets by now. But aspires to clean the slums. Its too much optimistic. Okay I like that confidence.
My challenge is that If I send him photographs of slums after 5 years what will he do? Will he be ready to be paraded with a placard hung round his neck saying ”I am a promise breaker. An utter useless creature”
The other thing is will his govt resign after one year if the 1/5 of the slums of the country are not eradicated?
None of them he does. He has neither the infrastructure or strength to do any of those sorts. He just want to be in lime light and now and then he has to brawl.
That’s all

The most important thing is that he has no interest in improving the living condition of common men. He may have the infrastructure but he don't have the required political will to do so.

I must appreciate that at least they have a vision and they are bound to do this because it is the time who drives the politics be it congress or bjp this was bound to happen because now India has a vision and they are heading towards it ”life sails along with the wind ”
I like the ideology of BJP and I like the approach of congress and from my child hood I’ve supported ABVP. so it does not matter which party all that matters is progress ..

It seems just like Indira Gandhi's " garibi hatao" slogan which was never fulfilled. Instead of eliminating poverty Congress is pursuing the policy to eliminate the poor. I think this time also in the name of slum free India Congress will adopt the policies to eliminate the persons residing in the slum areas.
